Common kitchen plumbing problems
The kitchen is the heart of the home, with water pumping through it 24/7. So wear and tear is inevitable. Here are some common problems:
Leaking kitchen sinks: Taps, actual sinks and plug holes all will leak and fail at some point
Waste pipes: They will block up and leak. A little TLC goes a long way.
Low water pressure: Airlocks and sudden changes in pressure are not unusual.
Dripping taps: Tap spouts, washers, and cartridges can all be quite easy fixes.

Couldn’t recommend the HEROFIX more! They managed to fit us in at incredibly short notice for a video consultation. Son was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.
Not to mention, this video appointment was free of charge due to my girlfriend working in the NHS.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my kitchen sink leaking underneath and how do I fix it?
Waste, hot and cold pipes are all under the sink. From lots of use, they can leak. Fixing it depends on what is leaking and what material the pipe is made of. Book a call.
What are the most common causes of the clogged kitchen sink and top tips to fix it?
Sinks clog up mostly from oil, fats and food waste. Scrape your plate into the bin before the sink. Pouring boiling water, baking soda, using a plunger and taking apart your P Trap can all unblock your sink.
Why is my water pressure low only in the kitchen and how do I fix it?
The cause and solution vary between hot and cold water, although quite common hot
water can be because of airlocks and cold water could be a broken valve. An investigation
would be required. Airlocks can be cleared by pushing mains pressure water back up to the tanks.
